4th Grade Castles

Castles.

Above is a drawing of a castle being built I did as a short animation.  Hopefully, someday in the near future, when I have you as a student in Jr. Hi.,  you’ll do one in art class. The other one is is a nice, neat, simple drawing of a castle drawn by a student. The background was a nice touch.

Here are some student drawings of castles.

Here’s an example of the assignment below, where you paste pictures of castles, done by Ethan S.

Before you can do an animation of a castle, you’ll need to be able to draw a castle, so let’s get started!

We’re going to be  working on the design and drawing of castles. So the first thing is to go and look at some castles.  Luckily, for you and me, the internet makes this very easy.

1. Open up a new google doc. At the very top of the page, type the word “CASTLE”. Hit the enter KEY 2 times.  Now the cursor(that little blinky thing) is below the word and ready for a picture.

 2. Go to google images, type in the search terms, “castle” or “ancient castle”, or “easy to draw castle” or “Irish Castle” or whatever search term you’d like that involves a castle. Find a picture of a castle you like and copy and paste it into the document you just made. If you don’t know how to copy and paste a picture into a document, I will show you! It’s very easy. If you’re the impatient sort, do a google search for “how to copy and paste a picture into a google document”

EVERY TIME YOU PASTE A PICTURE IN, HIT THE ENTER KEY TWO TIMES!

3. Do this 9 more times.

Make sure you are pasting in pictures of castles you like the look of, you’re going to be using elements of castles you paste in to draw your own castle.  When you’re ready and have found some castle pics you like, do some sketches in pencil, on a piece of paper.

I put some stuff below I got on the internet that tell you about the names and parts of a castle.
